he/him
My name is Evan, and I’ve been playing D&D for around 10 years now—almost half my life, haha! I grew up surrounded by theatre, with my mother being a drama teacher at universities in London and a director for many plays, which has certainly had its effects! One might enjoy improvisation, who knows?
I specialise in horror campaigns, creating that eerie atmosphere, but I’ve also explored many other themes! I love the feeling of getting to know your character on a personal level and understanding the intricacies of their decision-making, as well as weaving in your backstories. I tend to delve into them a bit too much...
Lastly, I’m based in the UK! I hope to run a session for you soon, whether in person or online!
Cheers,
Evan
How I conduct games
How do I run games...
Well, that's a pretty tricky question depending on which side of me you want, haha! As I mentioned, I love to incorporate horror into my games, but I think the most important thing I do is use the "And then therefore" methodology. I really enjoy crafting deep story campaigns or even one-shots where everything in the narrative has a "therefore this happens" effect. Everything is part of a bigger story. So, to put it simply, how I run games depends on the players; however, I am a massive fan of deep, emotional storytelling!

The villain I became too fond of…
I do love a classic posh British villain with their cane and suits, being a lord and all. Some may recognise this from a campaign called the Crooked Moon, but I adore Phillip Druskenvald so much that I had some art done of him and often use it as my profile picture, haha!
The snack that powers my prep…
Red Bull.
Red Bull.
Red Bull.
A house rule I will always stand by…
Gaining an Exhaustion level when you go down on death saves! I love this house rule that I use at many of my more experienced tables, as it adds a sense of consequence to going down, especially in horror campaigns!
